Hollywood Casino Wins Award
Hollywood Casino of Tunica, MS and their agency-of-record hawkeye | GROUP of Dallas, TX were big winners again at the Sixth Annual American Gaming Association (AGA) Communications Awards show Monday, November 13 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. After receiving two First Place awards at the AGA awards show in 2005, Hollywood Casino-Tunica and hawkeye | GROUP received three First Place honors in the three categories that they entered. Over 20 judges from agencies, academia, and convention and visitors bureaus evaluate hundreds of entries based on creativity and effectiveness.
In the Best Outdoor Ad -- Campaign category, "Hollywood Glamour Winners Campaign" beat out the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for the top prize. In the Best Outdoor Ad -- Single Piece, "Hollywood Glamour Winners" Michael" beat out MGM Mirage for first place. And in the Best Print Ad and Single Piece, there was an unprecedented tie in the category. "Hollywood Glamour Winners -- Michael" and "Hollywood Glamour Winners -- Randy" both finished first, besting Treasure Island in Las Vegas. It was a clean sweep for hawkeye | GROUP, receiving the most awards of any single agency. The AGA is the largest gaming association in North America. These prestigious awards are given out in 15 categories to those that achieve the best in communications among North American casinos and casino publications.
